Morning Poem, May 30, 2019

How you felt about this life

You look at the quiet yard behind you

And think in frantic pace

The color of the river that one spring day

And all the songs that you loved

That played from then till now

And the smiles that ever haunt

Visible, now and then,

On the faces of passers by
