morning poem, December 6, 2016

The light rain falls without a sound

Onto the earth it has softened

The soft sky is grey

There is no cause to squint the eye

So, open up and breathe

This cool, moist and fresh

Sit by the window

Look all around and rest

  1. You poets. Always seeing the positive in everything. I’ve got to get out and slog around in the cold rain just to get a few miles in.

Well, then. Open up and breathe this cool moist and fresh. Look all around. See everything. Glad you’re feeling up to a run today. . .
