Evening Poem #4, April 3, 2016

.

Step out onto the porch
And breathe the rain-softened air
Watch the dirt and leaves borne aloft,
Tossed, swirling
You sip your coffee, zip up your hoodie and
Think of the birds, glossy wet now
Ducked under limbs, into shrubbery
Braced against this wind
