Mid-day Poem, April 8, 2015

After The Rain

After the rain the air was clean

But the sky grey, and the clouds drawn and thin

As if exhausted

From pouring out so much in so little time.

The season ticks on

The blossoms impatient in the dim afternoon

Waiting for sunlight

And their hour of glory.
