Review of In The Forest of The Night

Here is a friendly and I think insightful review of my book copied here from Goodreads.  You can still download it for free for the next 12 hours or so.

I’ll be looking for new reviews and may repost them here.

In the Forest of the Night is a fast-moving mystery set in south West Virginia. Though it is sometimes difficult to read fictional characters from the Mountain State without wincing, that is not so here. Larry Ellis describes real people who are believable and whose stories reflect the geography and history of the region. His attention to detail, especially when describing the landscape, immerses the reader in the sights, sounds and smells of this rural area. He has captured the feel of the place and his words evoke my own memories of growing up in West Virginia. I look forward to reading his next novel.
