afternoon poem, February 14, 2015

As I start out there is a hard wind

and clouds to the west

I walk down the hill toward town

and the clouds sweep in

and snow swirls around me

coming down hard now

till the sleeves and front of my jacket are white

passing cars have wipers working fast, but

No one worries

this is mid-February

and all will be gone in an hour

  1. Good poem, but the weather forecast was a little off. At 4:01 it’s a little blizzardly.

Yeah. Jenny and I just got back from delivering food to her mom and dad. It’s awful out there. I hope they cancel church.
