What I Love About Blogging (V): Instantenaity

Instantenaity.
A new word. It does not mean the same thing as spontaneity, but it includes that. What I mean by instantenaity is not only that the writer can dash thoughts off just as they occur to him, but that he can, just as quickly, get them out into the world – and I mean everywhere in the world – and the world can, just as quickly, drink them in.
I wonder if there is not something to an idea having its time. I don’t mean on an historical scale, but on a more immediate, instant scale. Do you remember having something to say – something that seemed important at the time, but the time passed without your getting the chance to say it? Ideas and expressions might lose their shine in minutes or hours. And now, with the advent of blogging, a thing can be said and heard in one moment. Everywhere.
